Here you have the instructions for the end-of-term project.
In groups of 3 or 4 people maximum you must create a poster following these directions:
1. First choose an English-speaking country: the UK, Ireland, Canada, the USA, Australia, etc.
2. Then write about one of these topics:
a. food b. important celebrations c. national sport d. significant writers e. significant athletes f. famous tourist places in those countries g. customs and traditions h. celebrities i. any other topic you may interested in (please ask me first)
3. Remember to include visual information: pictures, diagrams, charts, and so on.
Deadline: 12th March 2012
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask me in class.
Two years ago, I went to Madrid's zoo. I live in Algeciras, so we went by car. I went with my family and we had fun. When I arrived, they were buying souvenirs,"Come on", I said.
Later, we saw the first exhibition, the monkey's exhibition. There were three moneys playing and screaming. While I was talking to my mum, one monkey spat me. My mather laughed. Then we went to the bat's exhibition. There were seventeen or twenty bats. While I was looking serpents' exhibition, one bat wet me. "Ha, ha, ha", laughed my mum and my sister.
At last, we went to elephant's exhibition. While I was drinking a coke, one elephant came to me and it threw me a bucket full of water. All my family laughed. Eventually, I saw a calendar and I shouted: "Oh my God! It's Friday 13th!!

For me, the most interesting person in history was Michael Jackson. He was born in Indiana on 29th August 1958. He was a singer, a dancer, a producer, a songwrite and a choreographer. He studied music. He is very famous. He had 80 records and sold 750 million CDs. In 1972 he began his solo carear. In December 1985 he released the album Thriller. In 1985 he wrote the song We are the world. He died on 25th June 2009 at the age of 50. I like Michael Jackson because he was the king of Pop and his music is very beautiful

One day was in Madrid with my friend Clara, when we decided to go for a walk. We went to a cafe. There was a mystery man. While we were walking,the man didn´t to look at me, so I was so scared. Later we went out to the cafe and we went shopping and the mystery man followed us. I said to Clara: -Are you looking to this man?- -Yes,he has been looking at us, I´m scared- -Me too, let´s go- We left the store and the man left too. We ran quikly and the man too. I heard a voice and I turned.The voice was him. He came to us. We were so scared!! In the end the man followed us because Clara had lost dropped her mobile.The man was so funny and the invited us to a Cola for the scared.

Do you mean "customs and traditions"? Yes, you're right, they are more or less the same:
-customs: a traditional and widely accepted way of behaving or doing something that is specific to a particular society, place, or time. - traditions: the transmission of customs or beliefs from generation to generation, or the fact of being passed on in this way.
Malú was born in Madrid 15th of March 1982. She began her musical career when she was 15 years old. Her uncle is the famous Paco de Lucia. For me, Malú is a very important spanish singer. In 1998, Malú won the first award in "Premios Amigos". Her first album was "Aprendiz" in 1998. In 1999 she published her second album "Cambiarás" and Malú became very popular. The last album was in 2010 was called "Guerra Fría". I like Malú because i like her songs. Her songs are mixture of flamenco and modern songs.
I'm in holidays in "Los Angeles" in the state of California. I'm spending my hloidays here because I love it,I love this shops, this people, I love all execpt the beaches,I like to stay in the sand but in the water there are a lots of sharks,so I'm not going to swim there. I'm in "Los Angeles" with Mia, she is tall, beautiful, she has got dark hair and brown eyes. We're shopping a lot of shoes and clothes for the party tonight. When we finish buying, we're going to the beach, and will have lunch there. Later, we're going to the hotel to sleep for the party toight.
One day at 8 o'clock.I was doing my homework for Monday,my homework was English,Maths and Spanish.Later I went to my kitchen to have breakfast when one men broke the door.And was an Al-Quaeda Soldier with AK-47 and Bazuca and I was dead because he shooted at my head with AK-47.I was in paradise and I resurrected when Bin Laden was stoling my T.V.I stole his AK-47 and I killed Bin Laden.I phoned the police.And Police gave me 30 million.

My favorite programme. I watch TV every day.My favorite programme is ``El barco´´.It´s a Spanish programe abaut te love.This programe is on TV on Thursdays.On Saturday ,you can watch the repeat .This programme is very popular. El barco is abaut a boat lost in the sea.I like this programe because there is a lot of action.I really recommend this programme to people who like science-fiction. My favourite TV programme is "The Ship". I watch it once a week, on Thursdays. This series is about a shpi name "Estrella Polar". "Estrella Polar" is the last ship in the world and its crew are the ongly, people live on the Earth due to a cataclysm that took place after scientific experiment that went wrong. I like it because I love Mario Casas and I think that he is a good actor. I like "The Ship" too because in my opinion is a very good TV programme.
For me, the most interesting painter in history was Diego Velázquez. He started to paint in Sevilla and then he went to Madrid. In Madrid he was the painter of the king Felipe IV. He was born in Sevilla on 5th June 1599. He went to school in Sevilla. He went to Italy and there he painted his most famous works, ``Las Meninas´´ and ``Las Hilanderas´´. The most important works of Velázquez are in ``El museo del Prado´´. My favourite picture of Velázquez is ``Las Meninas´´. In this picture he painted himself. He was a baroque painter.
For me,the most interestting person was Charles Dickens.He was a writer.He was born in Portsmouth,England,on 7th february 1812.He read many books when he was young.When he was 12,he started working in a factury.when he wrote David Copperfield he spoke about himself about his experience factories.In 1834 he worked in the Morning Chronicle like a journalist.In 1836 he married and he had children.His most famous novels are Oliver Twist,David Copperfield.I like Charles Dickens because of his novels.I like Oliver Twist.I watch his films on TV.
Day one: It´s the first day in our holiday. We´re in Granada, in Andalucía. Today we´re climbing a mountain and hiking 20km. There are five people in the gropu. Marta is a nurse. Her sister is Paola, she is an English teaher at school. Santi is a proesional scientist, Álvaro is Paola´s father and I. The time is good. It´s sunny and hot. Day two: Today we´re going to a lake. I don't watch TV every day,but I often watch my favourite programme it's ''La Que Se Avecina''.It's an comedy programme and it's an TV every day.On Mondays,you can watch the repeat.This programme is very popular. April Fool! One day,it was eating with my family in a restaurant when i heard a big storm.Outside it was raining and storming and in the restaurand the lights were off and suddenly water arrived from the street,it was wetting our feet. Then,then people was shouting and my father phoned the fireman. Later,when we were waiting the lights were on,the rain and the storm stopped. In the end we went there and we were eating a burger in the car and my mother said April Fool!
April Fool! One day,I was sitting on the grass and reading a book,when I heard a strange noise.The noise was like a little girl crying.I followed that noise and it was very far.It was in the forest,in the dark forest.I saw a shadow,behind the tree.She was a girl,and,as I suppused,was crying,so,the cries were issued by her.I asked her that what happened but there wasn't any answer.Suddenly,the girl turned the head.I was very afraid because the girl was dead!The last five seconds,I knew what happened.It was the April Fool Day and it was a joke!
I think that the most interesting person was Thomas Alva Edison.He was a very important inventor.He invented the bulb and he discovered the phonograph,the movies,etc.He was born on the 11th February 1847 and he died on the 18th October 1931.He was from United States and in his country was considered one of more importants inventors of the 20th century.Thanks to him,the world now enjoys light for own lifes.
One day: It's my first day of our holiday.We're in Rome(Europe) and we're having an excellent time!We're going sightseeing in the streets of Rome and we're eating pasta:spaguetti,macaroni,pizza,etc.,My compaions are members of my family:my sister;a girl with long dark hair,my cousin;a boy with short hair and blue eyes,and finally,my other cousin,a little girl with beautiful face and small and nice smile.
Day two: Our plan for later is see the Eiffel tower(in France),a big tower of 330 metres of lengh and we'll also see it in the the afternoon.It will be very romantic!
Like Paula,my favourita programme is ''La que se avecina''.I watch it five days a week.It is about a group of neighbours that are alguing all the time,they are great!I laugh a lot when I watch them.It is very funny!It is a comedy programme and I like it very much!This programme is emitted at the lunch(when I come back from school) or at nigh(when I have dinner).If you like laughing,I recomend it!
The lost ball One day, I was in a park with some friends.I went late because I was buying a new ball to palying football. When we started, my friend kicked the ball very angrily an it dissapeared. Afterward, we looked for it everywhere and we did not find it. Later, I was looking for the ball behind a tree and I found a child with the ball in his hands. He was very afraid of us. Eventually we talked and we decided to play altogether.
What's your favorite TV programme? I watch TV every day beacuse my favorite programme is five days on the week.My favorite programme is Otra Movida it is on spanish comedy programme.This programme is very popular Otra Movida is about clebrities' interviews a comedy show.I really like this programme because the presenters are very funny.I really recommend this programme because it is very funny and interesting.

TAILS' DOLL IN JESÚS ÁLVAREZ'S HOUSE
One day I was playing video games at Jesús' house with him and Benji. When Benji and I were playing Jesús told us a story about a videogame character called Tails' Doll. When my turn finished I went to the kitchen to drink water. While I was taking the glass I heard a noise and Tails' Doll was standing on the table. I was very scared and I threw the glass at its face. Then I closed kitchen's door with a chair and I told them what happened but they didn't believe me and I showed them Tails' Doll and it got up the floor. We screamed and ran out the house with Tails' Doll following us flying very fast. When we were running downstairs I fell downstairs and Tails' Doll caught me and it started to shake me. In the end I was at Jesus' house with him and Benji and Benji said to me: "Alberto you slept when you finished your English narrative.".

One day, my friends Benji, Alberto and I decided to go hiking up the mountain at the weekend. On Friday we met in the bus stop, we left Algeciras and we started our journey. Four hours later, we arrived at the mountain. We walked until the evening came. When we decided to come back, we didn't find the way. In the distance, we saw an old church in ruins and we spent the night there. While we were sleeping, we heard strange noises and we couldn't sleep all night because we were too frightened. At day break, we saw that the noises were nothing strange, because they were cats that were born. In the end, Benji, Alberto and I were laughing of our imagination.
Jesus: Hey guys, how was your weekend? Alberto: Hi Jesus, it was great! Benji: Hello guys! I can't say the same thing... Jesus: Why? Benji: I had to study so much, so I couldn't do anything fun. Alberto: Oh, I'm so sorry, I was in Brittas Bay Beach with Jesus. Jesus: We were riding horses. Alberto: Benji, what did you do after study? Benji: I went to the park. Where did you eat? Jesus: We ate in a restaurant near the beach. Benji: Oh, wow! Your weekend was great! Alberto: Yes, after that we went to swimming. Benji: Wow! Did you see any fish? Dear Alberto, Hi! A few years ago, I started to read the Chronicles of Narnia. I have read all the books. I loved them. I looked for Narnia's author. His name is Clive Staples Lewis. I read his biography and I liked it. He's British. He's from N. Ireland. He has written a lot of books. He was kind and he adopted a little girl as his daughter. I've learned a lot about him. His life was an example because he was a good person and a good student too. His best friend was J.R.R. Tolkien, author of "The Lord of The Rings". He studied at the University of Cambridge. He lived in Oxford, he was teacher at Oxford's University and an Oxford cancillor too. He's a hero!
My class future I asked six people in my class about their plans for the future. These are the results of the survey.
→Will you go to university when you are 18? Most students will go to university when they're 18 so they have got to study Bachillerato. Only 2 students don't want to go to university.
→Will you have only one child? Everyone wants to have more than one child. Only one student wants to have one child. They've got to have money to look after their babies.
→Will you work at a hospital? No one wants to work at a hospital. They prefer other jobs like ICT, drawer, teacher, etc.
→Will you buy a house at the beach? 50 per cent of class prefers buying a house at the beach. The other 50 per cent wants to buy a house at the city.
So my conclusion is that most students want to go to university, have more than one child, do not work at a hospital and buy a house at the beach or at the city,
Today in class, we've read an small translation of our reading book. This is my translation. The first paragraph is in English and the sencond one is in Spanish.

The next day, Tom and Huck went to the haunted house. "Huck, let's look carefully in all the rooms. Perhaps we'll find something." Tom and Huck started to walk round the house. Everything was old and dirty. Suddenly, Tom and Huck heard a noise. They hid quickly in an old wardrobe. The door didn't close completely and the boys saw Injun Joe and another man enter the room. The boys were very scared! "Now, we've got the money to scape from this town," said the man. "Yes, and nobody saw us take the money," said Injun Joe. Injun Joe put a big box on the table and opened it carefully. The box was full of silver coins!

****MARK TWAIN**** His real name was Samuel Langhorne Clemens. He was born on the 30th November and he died on the 21st April 1910, at the age of 75. He was an American author and humorist, but he is most noted for his novels, like "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer", written in 1876 and "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn", the latter often called "The Great American Novel", written in 1885. Twain grew up in Hannibal, Missouri. He worked as an apprenticed with a printer, where he later wrote Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer, and he also worked with his older brother's newspaper. Afterwards, he started to work in prints of Keokuk, Lowa, New York, Philadelphia, among other cities. BIOGRAPHY OF MARK TWAIN. Samuela langhorne Clemens, known by the name Mark Twain, was born in Florida, Missouri, on 30th november in 1835. He was an american popular writer, speaker and humorist. He wrote works of great sucess as The Prince and The Pauper or A Connecticut Yankee in king Arthur's Court, but he know by the his novel The adventures of Tom Sawyer and his sequel the adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Twain grew up in Hannibal, Missouri, a place that he used as the setting for The adventures of Tom Sawyer an Huckleberry Finn. He worked as an apprentice of a printer. After he worked as a printer, he became a pilot seafaring in the river Mississippi. He worked with few success in the mining of gold, and he returned to journalism. As a reporter, he wrote a humurous history `` La célebre ran saltarina del condado de Calaveras´´ in 1865, which became very popular and his travel books also were welcome. Our Future I asked 10 people in my house about their predictions for the future. Here are the results. Will You go to university? Everyone wants to go to university so they need to stydy a lot, but some of those people don't know it very well. Will you learn to drive when you are 18? Everyone will learn to drive when they`re 18, but a few of those people think that they won't pass the exam. Will you leave home when you are 20? A few students want to leave home when they're 20. The others don't want to leave home at 20, I don't know why. Will you get married when you are 25? will you have children? 50 per cent of students want to get married when they're 25, I want to get married at 25 too. Will you go to university when you are 18? Everyone wants to go to university when they are 18 because they want to work.

THE ADVENTURES OF TOM SAWYER. CHAPTER 2: In the town,Tom saw some people.They were helping a new family.The family had one daughter.He saw her and he decided to climb up a tree because he liked it.When she saw him,he started to act silly.Then,Tom climbed downthe tree and he decided to talk to the girl.When they finished,she took a flower for Tom.She went home and he smiled because he was in love and he think that she is in love too.
____WE LOVE OUR NEIGHBOURHOOD____ 1- Last week, I went with my class to an excursion to El Pinar del Rey, and we were very disappointed, because there was much rubbish. 2- So we decided to come the next week to clean the forest. We threw paper and cartons in the blue bin, glass, in the green bin, plastic and cans in the yellow bin,organic residues, in the gray bin and the batteries, in the red. How can people be s irresponsible to throw batteries, this is very dangerous! 3- Well, at the end, the forest was very clean, and we celebrated doing a great picnic there. COMPETITION ENTRY. The problem in my town is the pollution at the sea.Part of this pollution is going to go to the sand and the other part stays at sea.For this,the air of my town is more polluted.Some people help us and collect the oil left by the sea in the sand.I sometimes join this.But the next weekend,we are going to do something bigger:we are going to encourage to everybody to help us and to see who collects more rubbish on the beach in less time.
Mark Twain was born on November 30,1835 in Missouri(Florida).He was a very popular writer thanks to his works like ''The Adventures of Tom Sawyer'' and ''The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn''.One of this houses was near his uncle John Quarles.He was the sixth of the seven children of the family,but only three of his brothers survived:his brother Orion,Henry and Pamela.His father died when he was eleven.In 1851,he became a typography and he began to share some humorous sketches and shorts histories in the Hannibal Journal(a newspaper of his old brother Orion).This was,more or less,the beginning of his lifd like a wirter.He met his future wife on December of 1867,and they began a engagement along 1868.The next year they engaged themselves and on February of 1870 they got married in Elmira(New York).They had one child,but he died to 19 months.Nevertheless,they had three girls:Olivia Susan,Clara and Jane.His marriage lasted 34 years until his wife died in 1904.In his last year,Twain happened in a period of deep depression,situation that was reflected in his works.His prediction was fulfilled:Twain died in Redding (Connecticut) of a heart attack on 6 p.m of the 21th April in 1910,74 years after age,the day before the perihelion of the return to the Earth of the comet.
WE CAN SAVE THE THINGS WE LIKE. Tell us about your city and what your family has done to look after it. 1.Our city is very small and is in the south of Spain.People want to walk the mountain but they throw papers or other things.My family,firstly,goes every week to the mountain to catch the bags,glass,cardboard,plastic or other thins. 2.Secondly,they catch animals and drive them to the shop of animals.They are very beautiful like the moneys or other animals that live in the mountain. 3.To conclude,my family works all day and they are tired.For this,I think that the people can help the mountain too.

Después,Becky dio candiles a todo el mundo y todos entraron en la cueva.Algunas veces,entraron en la cueva y no se asustaban.La cueva estaba llena de pasajes estrechos y habitaciones grandes.

Two years ago, I went to Madrid's zoo. I live in Algeciras, so we went by car. I went with my family and we had fun. When I arrived, they were buying souvenirs,"Come on", I said.
Later, we saw the first exhibition, the monkey's exhibition. There were three moneys playing and screaming. While I was talking to my mum, one monkey spat me. My mather laughed. Then we went to the bat's exhibition. There were seventeen or twenty bats. While I was looking serpents' exhibition, one bat wet me. "Ha, ha, ha", laughed my mum and my sister.
At last, we went to elephant's exhibition. While I was drinking a coke, one elephant came to me and it threw me a bucket full of water. All my family laughed. Eventually, I saw a calendar and I shouted: "Oh my God! It's Friday 13th!!

For me, the most interesting person in history was Michael Jackson. He was born in Indiana on 29th August 1958. He was a singer, a dancer, a producer, a songwrite and a choreographer. He studied music. He is very famous. He had 80 records and sold 750 million CDs. In 1972 he began his solo carear. In December 1985 he released the album Thriller. In 1985 he wrote the song We are the world. He died on 25th June 2009 at the age of 50.

We left the store and the man left too.
We ran quikly and the man too. I heard a voice and I turned.The voice was him.
He came to us. We were so scared!!
In the end the man followed us because Clara had lost dropped her mobile.The man was so funny and the invited us to a Cola for the scared.

DeleteMalú was born in Madrid 15th of March 1982.
She began her musical career when she was 15 years old. Her uncle is the famous Paco de Lucia.
For me, Malú is a very important spanish singer.
In 1998, Malú won the first award in "Premios Amigos".
Her first album was "Aprendiz" in 1998.
In 1999 she published her second album "Cambiarás" and Malú became very popular.
The last album was in 2010 was called "Guerra Fría".
I like Malú because i like her songs. Her songs are mixture of flamenco and modern songs.

My favourite TV programme is "The Ship". I watch it once a week, on Thursdays. This series is about a shpi name "Estrella Polar". ReplyDeleteFor me, the most interesting painter in history was Diego Velázquez. He started to paint in Sevilla and then he went to Madrid. In Madrid he was the painter of the king Felipe IV.
He was born in Sevilla on 5th June 1599. He went to school in Sevilla.
He went to Italy and there he painted his most famous works, ``Las Meninas´´ and ``Las Hilanderas´´. The most important works of Velázquez are in ``El museo del Prado´´.
My favourite picture of Velázquez is ``Las Meninas´´. In this picture he painted himself. He was a baroque painter.

TAILS' DOLL IN JESÚS ÁLVAREZ'S HOUSE
One day I was playing video games at Jesús' house with him and Benji. When Benji and I were playing Jesús told us a story about a videogame character called Tails' Doll. When my turn finished I went to the kitchen to drink water. While I was taking the glass I heard a noise and Tails' Doll was standing on the table. I was very scared and I threw the glass at its face. Then I closed kitchen's door with a chair and I told them what happened but they didn't believe me and I showed them Tails' Doll and it got up the floor. We screamed and ran out the house with Tails' Doll following us flying very fast. When we were running downstairs I fell downstairs and Tails' Doll caught me and it started to shake me. In the end I was at Jesus' house with him and Benji and Benji said to me: "Alberto you slept when you finished your English narrative.".

One day, my friends Benji, Alberto and I decided to go hiking up the mountain at the weekend.
On Friday we met in the bus stop, we left Algeciras and we started our journey.
Four hours later, we arrived at the mountain. We walked until the evening came.
When we decided to come back, we didn't find the way. In the distance, we saw an old church in ruins and we spent the night there.
While we were sleeping, we heard strange noises and we couldn't sleep all night because we were too frightened.
At day break, we saw that the noises were nothing strange, because they were cats that were born.
In the end, Benji, Alberto and I were laughing of our imagination.

I read his biography and I liked it. He's British. He's from N. Ireland. He has written a lot of books. He was kind and he adopted a little girl as his daughter. I've learned a lot about him. His life was an example because he was a good person and a good student too. His best friend was J.R.R. Tolkien, author of "The Lord of The Rings". He studied at the University of Cambridge. He lived in Oxford, he was teacher at Oxford's University and an Oxford cancillor too. He's a hero!

Tom and Huck started to walk round the house. Everything was old and dirty. Suddenly, Tom and Huck heard a noise. They hid quickly in an old wardrobe. The door didn't close completely and the boys saw Injun Joe and another man enter the room. The boys were very scared!
"Now, we've got the money to scape from this town," said the man.
"Yes, and nobody saw us take the money," said Injun Joe.
Injun Joe put a big box on the table and opened it carefully. The box was full of silver coins!

He was born on the 30th November and he died on the 21st April 1910, at the age of 75. He was an American author and humorist, but he is most noted for his novels, like "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer", written in 1876 and "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn", the latter often called "The Great American Novel", written in 1885.
Twain grew up in Hannibal, Missouri. He worked as an apprenticed with a printer, where he later wrote Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer, and he also worked with his older brother's newspaper. Afterwards, he started to work in prints of Keokuk, Lowa, New York, Philadelphia, among other cities. He even became a sailor, a soldier of The Confederate Army and he worked in the silver mines of Nevada.

He wrote works of great sucess as The Prince and The Pauper or A Connecticut Yankee in king Arthur's Court, but he know by the his novel The adventures of Tom Sawyer and his sequel the adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
Twain grew up in Hannibal, Missouri, a place that he used as the setting for The adventures of Tom Sawyer an Huckleberry Finn. He worked as an apprentice of a printer. After he worked as a printer, he became a pilot seafaring in the river Mississippi. He worked with few success in the mining of gold, and he returned to journalism. Everyone wants to work when they are 23 because they want to earn money and then,with this money,they want to get married.

In the town,Tom saw some people.They were helping a new family.The family had one daughter.He saw her and he decided to climb up a tree because he liked it.When she saw him,he started to act silly.Then,Tom climbed downthe tree and he decided to talk to the girl.When they finished,she took a flower for Tom.She went home and he smiled because he was in love and he think that she is in love too.

ReplyDelete1- Last week, I went with my class to an excursion to El Pinar del Rey, and we were very disappointed, because there was much rubbish.
2- So we decided to come the next week to clean the forest. We threw paper and cartons in the blue bin, glass, in the green bin, plastic and cans in the yellow bin,organic residues, in the gray bin and the batteries, in the red. How can people be s irresponsible to throw batteries, this is very dangerous!
3- Well, at the end, the forest was very clean, and we celebrated doing a great picnic there.

COMPETITION ENTRY.
ReplyDeleteThe problem in my town is the pollution at the sea.Part of this pollution is going to go to the sand and the other part stays at sea.For this,the air of my town is more polluted.Some people help us and collect the oil left by the sea in the sand.I sometimes join this.But the next weekend,we are going to do something bigger:we are going to encourage to everybody to help us and to see who collects more rubbish on the beach in less time.

Mark Twain was born on November 30,1835 in Missouri(Florida).He was a very popular writer thanks to his works like ''The Adventures of Tom Sawyer'' and ''The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn''.One of this houses was near his uncle John Quarles.He was the sixth of the seven children of the family,but only three of his brothers survived:his brother Orion,Henry and Pamela.His father died when he was eleven.In 1851,he became a typography and he began to share some humorous sketches and shorts histories in the Hannibal Journal(a newspaper of his old brother Orion).This was,more or less,the beginning of his lifd like a wirter.He met his future wife on December of 1867,and they began a engagement along 1868.The next year they engaged themselves and on February of 1870 they got married in Elmira(New York).They had one child,but he died to 19 months.Nevertheless,they had three girls:Olivia Susan,Clara and Jane.His marriage lasted 34 years until his wife died in 1904.In his last year,Twain happened in a period of deep depression,situation that was reflected in his works.His prediction was fulfilled:Twain died in Redding (Connecticut) of a heart attack on 6 p.m of the 21th April in 1910,74 years after age,the day before the perihelion of the return to the Earth of the comet.

WE CAN SAVE THE THINGS WE LIKE.
ReplyDeleteTell us about your city and what your family has done to look after it.
1.Our city is very small and is in the south of Spain.People want to walk the mountain but they throw papers or other things.My family,firstly,goes every week to the mountain to catch the bags,glass,cardboard,plastic or other thins.
2.Secondly,they catch animals and drive them to the shop of animals.They are very beautiful like the moneys or other animals that live in the mountain.
3.To conclude,my family works all day and they are tired.For this,I think that the people can help the mountain too.

-¿Puedes venir a mi fiesta esta noche?
-Sí.
-Vamos a ir a la isla de Dougal.En la isla hay una cueva grande.Cogeremos algo de comida y candiles para utilizarlos dentro de la cueva.
-Eso suena bien.
Por la noche,Becky y sus amigos fueron a la isla en un barco.Comieron la comida y jugaron a muchos juegos.
Después,Becky dio candiles a todo el mundo y todos entraron en la cueva.Algunas veces,entraron en la cueva y no se asustaban.La cueva estaba llena de pasajes estrechos y habitaciones grandes.

A few days later,Becky went to Tom`s house.
-Can you come to my party tonight?
-Oh,yes!
-We`re going to Dougal`s Island.There`s a big cave on the island.We`ll take some food and candles to use inside the cave.
That sounds fun.
In the evening,Becky and her friends went on a boat to the island.They ate the food and played a lot of games.Then Becky gave candles to everybody and they all wnet into the cave.They often went into the cave and they weren`t scared.The cave was full of narrow passages and big rooms.
